Walgreens Prescription Savings Club
I recently wrote a post about Walgreens pharmacy and briefly mentioned the Prescription Savings Club. I have done a little more research and wanted to share a bit more with you about it.
We recently had a major change in our insurance and prescriptions are no longer covered. I have a child that takes an ADHD medication that is a couple of hundred dollars a month. I take Imitrex (which also isn’t cheap). A third child takes Singulair chewable tablets. I am very interested in the Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens because I really need to find a way to cut prescription costs in today’s tight economy.
The more I investigate the more I like it. You get these benefits:
- Savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications
- Discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies
- Bonuses when you purchase Walgreens and Nice! brand products and photofinishing services
Membership fee is only $35 a year per family (and includes pets) and $20 for individuals. Membership in the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club is also risk-free. f you don’t save at least that on your prescriptions, then they will refund your membership fees. I mean, after all, this club is about saving money, right?
