Did you get to see Pacific Rim, directed by Guillermo del Toro, in theaters?  I didn’t, but it was one that I wanted to see because I love sci-fi films.  Set in the not too distant future, Earth is at war with a race of enormous alien people from an inter-dimensional gateway on the Pacific Ocean floor.

The people of Earth unite to fight by creating gigantic pilot-controlled robots.  I know right?  What’s not to love – lots of action, lots of big robots and lot of monstrous-sized aliens battling over Earth’s destiny.  I am so glad that it’s coming out on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 15.

In celebration, Warner Brothers has asked me to host a giveaway and give one lucky reader a free copy of Guillermo del Toro’s action-packed sci-fi adventure.

I love this little app they sent me to share with you.  Take the quiz and see how you rate on the fan scale, piddle with the interactive images and play with the movie sound effects.  Since I have not seen the movie (yet), I didn’t perform too well.  The sound effects put you directly in the action, but I found it helpful to mute the background music first (use the button on the bottom of the app).
