Cook’n recipe software is more than just a recipe organizer.  It creates shopping lists.  It lets you create custom meal plans!  Cook’n will compile nutrition plans for you from a single recipe or a complete meal plan.

I found Cook’n Recipe Software at just the right time, too!  I have my daughter’s birthday party and a Halloween party at the end of this month.  Next month, I will be cooking Thanksgiving and, of course, Christmas holidays are right on the heels of that.  I’m glad that I have Cook’n to help me stay organized for those events!

My favorite feature is the one-click recipe capture.  Cook’n has a built in search engine that will search the internet.  When you find a recipe you like, just click the capture button and it will import it into the cookbook and category you designate.  You may have to do some basic formatting to make sure it’s legible to you, but that’s because no two websites format their recipes the same way.

The meal plan creation is as easy as drag-and-drop, too.  In the video below, you can see that in about 2 minutes, I created a meal plan titled “Thanksgiving.”  Then, I just dragged-and-dropped the recipes onto the meal plan.  Afterwards, I told it to create a shopping list, organized by aisle, from that meal plan.  The hardest part was deciding what I wanted to have!

Don’t know what to have?  Type your ingredients that you have on hand into the search engine and tell Cook’n to search your database and it will find you some recipes containing those ingredients!

You can also email your recipes to friends and family or print a family cookbook.  Additionally, you can sync it with your iPhone or Android so you don’t have to lug your laptop into the kitchen with you.  There are just so many possibilities!

  1. One of my favorite recipes to make is Grape Nuts Pudding. Everyone loves it in my family. I also have a broccoli salad that I like to make, along with a Strawberry , cashew salad. I’m getting hungry just thinking about them.

  3. I love to make pumpkin pie, my moms velvet salad, and her green bean casserole! every time I make it, it takes me back to the thanksgivings we would have at my parents house. wish they lived closer so I can still enjoy her cookin, cuz nobodys cooking is better than moms!

    1. yuumm its delicious! its crushed up pineapple mixed with a jello/pudding mixture and then topped with a layer of red jello. only mom makes it the best! lol yeah my rents live in louisanna and im in nebraska … so im lucky to see them once a year 🙁 but we talk every week so i cant complain to much 🙂

  5. I love making double tomato bruschetta. I know it’s not very Thanksgiving-ey, but it is so good and my family would kill me if I didn’t bring it!
