Free Child Safety Kit

Get a free Child Safety Kit from the Polly Klass Foundation. Teach your kids to know which strangers to approach for help if they become lost and how to recognize and respond to potentially dangerous situations.
Discussing these issues in a manner that doesn’t instill fear and anxiety in your child is not an easy task, but you want them to be prepared if they become separated from you unexpectedly. This free kit offers special no-scare tips for all age groups. You can also record your child’s fingerprints and learn to sample and safely store your child’s DNA in your own home.

Free Periodic Table of Elements Poster (International)

Any science buffs out there that would just love to have a periodic table of elements poster? I know one in particular. Ok – maybe two. I can just see my son and husband going at it over this free poster. Brush up on your skills and impress everyone when you watch the chemical symbols in the Breaking Bad intro. You can also decorate your office with it. If you are homeschooling, you could use it to teach basic chemistry.

Free Lorax Dr. Suess Activity Book and Stickers - International

Play along with the Lorax and teach kids the value of saving energy. Get a free Dr. Suess Lorax Activity book for kids from Energy Star – you can print it or have it mailed. The free Dr. Suess Lorax Activity book appears to be international. I wish that my kids were still young enough to enjoy Dr. Seuss, but they outgrew him long ago. Very cool idea from Energy Star to use the Lorax to get the attention of young kids and start teaching them environmental stewardship early.

Free Gooseberry Patch Kid-Friendly Recipe Book US/Canada

Get a free Kid-Friendly Recipe book from Gooseberry patch. You can either have them send it you by mail (US/Canada) or download it.

Kid-Friendly Recipes is a 36 page cookbook featuring Sun-Maid dried fruit and raisins. It mostly contains pastries and I am in love with the Cinna-Bunnies recipe. That one is totally cute. But the adult side of me would really like to try the Snappy Salsa recipe made with a variety of dried fruit.

If you choose to download it, you will receive a PDF version of the book. I ordered it by mail AND downloaded it. My son loves to cook, but doesn’t have an easy way to access a PDF file in the kitchen. I prefer to have it on my iPad, so I saved it to my Drop-Box account so I could access it from my mobile device AND my PC.
